A Mask for all Seasons (and skin types)……#TMHhacks

I’m a bit of a masking fanatic! In fact The Model Handmade now has mask for almost every skin type, and why not?!

For me masking is a little like indulging in a glass of (very expensive) vino at the end of a long week, and heaven knows with how hard our skin works it certainly deserves a little TLC.

My favourite masks are the ones you can make with ingredients straight from the pantry (or the fridge) as they’re always so versatile, easy to use, quick to make and depending on the combination, rather delicious.

So without further a-do, lets get started!

GREEK YOGHURT FACE MASK
for
Dry Skin

ingredients
2 TBS greek yoghurt
1 TBS lemon juice
1 tsp raw honey (agave or maple syrup if you’re vegan)

METHOD

In a small bowl, mix together the yoghurt, lemon juice and honey.

After cleansing, apply a generous layer to the skin, leave for 15 minutes and then rinse with tepid water. Follow up with moisturiser and repeat twice a week.

APPLE LIME FACE PACK
for
Oily Skin

ingredients
1 TBS applesauce
1 tsp lime juice
1/2 tsp tea tree oil

METHOD

In a small bowl, mix together the applesauce, lime juice and tea tree oil.

After cleansing, apply a generous layer to the skin, leave for 10 minutes and then rinse with tepid water. Follow up with moisturiser and repeat three times a week.

AVO-EGG WHITE MASK
for
Combination Skin

ingredients
1/4 avocado
1 egg white

METHOD

In a small bowl, mix together the avocado and the egg white.

After cleansing, apply a generous layer to the skin, leave for 20 minutes and then rinse with tepid water. Follow up with moisturiser and repeat once a week.

SOOTHING OATMEAL MASK
for
Sensitive Skin

ingredients
1/3 cup cooked oatmeal
2 TBS greek yoghurt

METHOD

In a small bowl, mix together the oatmeal and yoghurt.

After cleansing, apply a generous layer to the skin, leave for 15 minutes and then rinse with tepid water. Follow up with moisturiser and repeat twice a week.

POMEGRANATE BEAUTY MASK
for
Skin over 40

ingredients
1 TBS pomegranate juice
2 TBS greek yoghurt
1 tsp raw honey

METHOD

In a small bowl, mix together the pomegranate juice, yoghurt and honey

After cleansing, apply a generous layer to the skin, leave for 10 minutes and then rinse with tepid water. Follow up with moisturiser and repeat once a week.

And there you have it, a mask for all seasons!
